John Maeda is well known for fusing abstract art with logical mathematics. Recently the artist, graphic designer, computer scientists, mathematician, and current professor at the prestigious MIT Media Lab collaborated with Reebok to further push the boundaries of both art and technology. The results is an incredible pair of sneakers – the Timetanium.

Using the Reebok Ventilator as the basis of the shoes, the exterior pattern of the Timetanium features Maeda’s original graphics that’s created from scratch utilizing his original mathematic algorithms and computer codes. In order to reflect the complexity of this process, the interior lining of the Timetanium shows the original, hand-written calculations by Maeda himself.

The sneaker will be released November 13th, as a limited edition of 100 pieces, and can be purchased on the Reebok Custom Page.
