Apple held a little event this morning and revealed the latest revisions to the iPod lineup. In case you blinked and missed it, here’s the low down:

  • iPhone PRICE DROP — Effective immediately, $399 for the 8GB model. Apple killing 4GB iPhone, which is now $299 while supplies last.
  • New iPod Touch — basically a phone-less iPhone for the holidays at 8GB ($299) and 16GB ($399). This things got Wi-Fi, Safari, YouTube, and the new iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store where you can preview and buy content from the iTunes Music store on the go on the new iPod Touch or iPhone. It will be launching worldwide at the end of this month.
  • iPod Classic — New sizes, new all-metal casing, and even slimmer design: 80GB ($249) and 160GB ($349). It’s like a server in your pocket.
  • iPhone Update — The iPhone will be getting custom ringtone support for 99 cents above the price of the song. So who’s willing to pay $1.98 for a song and 30 second ringtone when you can get your own for free.
  • iPod Nano with Video — The new fat Nano were real and it plays video with its fancy new interface: 4GB ($149) and 8GB ($199).
  • iPod Shuffle — New colors… yawn…
